Porsche, nuff said

So, these cars, or Porsche's (they're not just "cars") are from a Japanese tuning company called "Rauh Welt". Sickness!!! These are track tuned Porsche's that are street legal. From what I've read on speedhunters.com (in september it was their Porsche Month), these RWB Porsches are typically naturally aspirated 3.8L flat 6 sixes, but have serious suspension and chassis tuning. Enjoy! These cars are sick. Wait I already said that. ;}
The black one is a 1985 930 and is the shop owners personal car. The black one with bronze wheels. Sick! It weights 2100 lbs. That's an 800lbs weight loss program. Pumping 360hp with a 8500rpm redline. It's running a 915 5 speed. Wheels? Try 18x11 in front, 18x12 in rear.

Roush P-51B Ford Mustang

Check this stang out. Roush has built a limited edition P-51 inspired Mustang. Cool! Finally someone built it.

LIVONIA, Michigan — Liftoff has commenced for Roush's second homage to the legendary P-51 WWII fighter plane, and it is loaded with 510 horsepower and a plethora of performance and aerodynamic modifications.

The 2009 P-51B will have 510 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque (the same as the P-51A), and is the most powerful Mustang Roush has ever built. Roush technicians have strengthened the 4.6-liter three-valve engine with forged aluminum pistons, forged steel H-Beam connecting rods, a stronger crankshaft and even a high-capacity fuel delivery system. A new clutch, six-piston brakes and Roush's Stage 3 suspension are also part of the P-51B treatment.

The exterior gets the P-51 look with Ford factory Vapor paint and Olive Drab green badging, black chrome wheels and a blacked-out rear deck-lid panel. The six-piece aero kit will feature both Vapor and Silver coloring to help match the history of the fighter plane, which was often repaired with different colored metal panels.

Inside, the 9-51B logo decorates the shifter ball, floor mats and leather seats. The vehicle has yellow and red checkerboard accents to pay tribute to the 357th Fighters Group, Eighth Air Force ETO, a very successful P-51 fighter group during WWII.

"The 2009 Roush P-51B is really the closest thing we can do to truly match the performance and styling of the fighter plane," said Jack Roush, the company's founder and CEO.

Some of the 51 limited-edition 2009 Roush P-51Bs are already arriving at dealers, and the vehicle will be priced at $65,800 including destination fees and gas guzzler tax. A three-year/36,000-mile warranty comes with the car and some of the options available are a Roush trunk tool kit, enhanced resonator exhaust and a radar detector.

Civic duty

So, the longer I am into cars while at the same time, taking care of life's priorities, which do not include $5000 turbo kits, $2000 wheels/tires, etc., the more the Honda Civic is the perfect car for me. In my early days of being into japanese cars, it was all about going full bore, you know, dyno tuning, port and polish work, custom final drive ratios, fully adjustable suspensions, replacing all worn out oem bushings with polyurethane bushings, blah blah blah. :) That's the obsessed, engineering-head Hecht coming out. The more subdued daddy Hecht realizes the large amounts of casheesh required and so simply focuses on having a unique, modified only slightly car while still getting great gas mileage and passing smog with my eyes closed. LOL Hence, instead of the big power WRX or EVO, a 125hp Honda Civic with some wheels/tires, a catback exhaust, intake and filter and mild suspension mods to lower the car and make it more "fun" to drive is where its at. So, in that light, enjoy some of these "H" rides. Honda rods for the win!
